La Cour de Lavande is a charming Chambres d’Hôtes situated at La Lègue, deep in the heart of the stunning countryside of the Lot and Garonne, near Duras. The property comprises of two houses renovated from a 350 year old farmhouse and barn encircling a lovely lavendar filled courtyard. Both houses retain a myriad of exposed stone walls, beams and character while providing comfort and modern facilities. There is a huge inglenook fireplace in the guests' lounge where fires are lit on chilly evenings, a sunny terrace, large swimming pool and many quiet areas to sit and read or sunbathe.
The house is situated in the small hamlet of La Lègue, 1 km from the village of St Sernin de Duras and 7 km from the charming town of Duras. We are surrounded by peach orchards, vineyards and fields of sunflowers but nearby are the historic towns of Bergerac, St Emilion and Monflanquin and the glorious Dordogne is easily accessible as a day trip. There are bustling local weekly markets and the award winning Domaine Chater is only a short distance away with an opportunity to visit the vineyard and taste beautiful wines.
